“Recession-proof Safety: Doing More with Less” The American Society of Safety Engineer’s San Francisco Chapter is pleased to announce this year’s Professional Development Conference (PDC) will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010. The full-day (8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.) conference will be held at the PG&E Conference Center, 77 Beale Street at Market St., in San Francisco’s Financial District. This site is easily accessible from Muni and BART (Embarcadero Station), CalTrain, SamTrans and Golden Gate Transit, as well as via ferry boat services from both the East and North Bays arriving at the nearby Ferry Building. There are multiple paid parking lots in the area as well. Theme for this year’s PDC is “Recession-proof Safety: Doing More with Less”. As in previous years’ PDCs, there will be a “Construction” track and a “General Industry” track. Attendees will be welcome to attend presentations of either track as their interests may dictate. Topics include: Business Contingency Planning, How Behavior Affects Safety, Telecommuting, A World Class Safety Culture Can Improve the Bottom Line, and MORE! Lunch will be served while our keynote speaker shares “Safety Survival Tactics”. COCs/CEUs toward maintaining CSP certification will be provided. Vendors and sponsors will have information on valuable goods and services. And, there will be plenty of time for professional networking! Conference fee, which includes lunch, is $99 for early-bird registration prior to January 15th, $150 after January 15th and $175 for walk-in registrants. Registration opens in early December.
