Dan Petersen, Author of Safety Management Dies.

Dan Petersen is recognized as an innovator in the safety world.  His concept that safety should be managed as any other company function was revolutionary in its time.  Dan was the speaker to one of our regular dinner meetings back in November of 1974, and he has been a regular presenter at PDC events.  As a Society Fellow, he is also one of the most prolific authors on safety subjects.

Chapter President Becker Awarded PhD.

Ed Becker, LAASSE Chapter President receives his PhD in Urban Planning.  He celebrates the achievement with his mom at the May 2007, University of Southern California Commencement Ceremony.  This is the first time that a sitting LA Chapter President Elect has received a doctorate.
